To join a Vistage group in San Diego County, contact a local Chair directly, have an initial conversation about fit, and — if there's mutual interest — attend a meeting as a guest before deciding. I chair two groups here: a CEO group launched in 2023, the first new Vistage group in San Diego in five years, and a Small Business group launched in 2026.
The Chair matters more than most prospects realize. You are not buying a program. You are joining a specific room, assembled by a specific person, and that person's judgment about who belongs determines everything you'll get out of it. Two Vistage groups in the same city can feel like different species.
So interview the Chair. Really. Ask how they select members and how many they've turned down. Ask what they did before this, and whether they've actually run something. Ask what happens when a member stops doing the work. A Chair who can't answer that last one clearly is running a club, not a group.
Then ask yourself the harder question: do you want to be around this person once a month for the next several years? Because that's the actual arrangement.
My groups draw leaders from across San Diego County — from under $1 million to over $80 million and from 2 people to over 350. Industries including - IT, marketing, senior living, IP law firm, wealth manager, roofer, design/build firm, architect, environmental services to name a few. Different industries by design. Nobody in the room competes with anybody else, which is why people tell the truth.
If you're weighing this, the first step costs you nothing but a conversation. Reach out and we'll find out in twenty minutes whether it's a fit. If it isn't, I'll tell you, and I'll point you somewhere better.

Yes. Small Business groups serve smaller companies and CEO groups serve larger ones, with different peer profiles.
An initial conversation about your business and goals, a guest visit to a meeting, and a more indepth selection interview. We need mutual agreement on fit.
My Chief Executive group meets the third Wednesday. My Small Business group meets the third Tuesday. We meet at member locations or at a neutral site in Del Mar.
