How Much Does Vistage Cost?

Vistage doesn't publish standard pricing, and for good reason — membership varies by the type of group and the size and stage of your company, so any single number would mislead more than it helps. What I can tell you is how to think about the investment, which matters far more than the figure: for most members, the entire year is repaid by a single decision they wouldn't have made alone. I'll walk through exact numbers in a conversation, once we both know it's a fit.

Now the more useful question: compared to what?

Compared to an executive MBA, it's a fraction, and it doesn't end after two years. Compared to a management consultant, it's less than a single engagement and you get twelve to sixteen advisors instead of one. Compared to a bad executive hire — the six-figure kind that takes fourteen months to unwind — it's a rounding error.

The honest framing is this: the cost is real and it's not small. For most members, the entire year's investment is repaid by one decision. One member lacked a leadership team and was bleeding time and money with lawsuits caused by legacy employees that never grew with the company.  The member--with the help and support of the group--finally made the employee available for industry and hired a competent, experienced leader that completely transformed the department. The problem is you can't know in advance which decision it'll be.

What actually stops people isn't the money. It's the day. Business owners will write the check and then quietly panic about giving up a full working day every month. I understand it. I'd tell you the same thing I tell them: if your company can't function without you for one day a month, you don't have a company. You have a job with unusually bad hours. Fixing that is the point.
